Spring Term 2012
This half term Year 6 had the opportunity to visit the ‘Accident and Emergency’ department of Bradford Royal Infirmary. As well as learning important life saving skills such as resuscitation, the children all had fun getting plaster pots put on their fingers! Look at our video to see more...
Our IPC in Year 6 this past half-term has been ‘Myths, Legends and Beliefs’. In our P.E. lessons we have been looking at dance based on myths and legends from different cultures. We have specifically been focussing on ‘The Haka’ dance from New Zealand. We began by learning the original dance which can be seen in the ‘Finale’ of the film and then we developed these ideas to choreograph our own dances with words. So, sit back, relax and enjoy the film!
Autumn Term 2011
The Tuesday after our assembly we went on a Victorian Christmas visit to
The museum is designed to look like real Victorian streets and shops which you can explore.
Our task was to complete a Victorian Christmas treasure hunt. We discovered many facts, such as there are 13 ingredients in a Christmas pudding to represent Jesus and his disciples!
We found out much more about how the Victorians influenced Christmas as we know it today in a special workshop. We also learnt some Victorian games such as ‘Hunt the Ring’. If we are lucky Miss Hill might let us play this back at school!

On Thursday 1st December 2011 Year Six performed their class assembly to tell the school about their work on the Victorian era. It was full of facts, drama and singing. |
