Reception - Saplings Home Learning
Welcome to your home learning page.
Now that your are completing your work at home, Miss Cockroft will post learning for you on Class Dojo each day. Miss Cockroft will be able to help mark and comment on your work through messaging. Make sure you upload lots of pictures of your completed work so your teacher can see how you are doing; she will be keeping a close eye on all the children in her class during this time, giving you the help you need as well as celebrating your wonderful achievements too! Should we notice your work is not being completed, then your teacher will give you a call to check everything is okay and offer any help you may need.
In addition, each child working from home will receive a weekly welfare call to keep in touch.
Note to parents and carers.
The Government's expectation of home learning has significantly changed since the last lockdown and as a school we have worked very hard to ensure all our children have access to a quality curriculum whilst the school is closed to most pupils. In Key Stage One this expectation is three hours of learning per day. We have a duty of care to check children's engagement with home learning on a daily basis and make calls to those families whose children appear not to be completing work; this is why it is imperative that you photograph and upload completed work onto Class Dojo.
Thank you so much to all our families- we know this is a very unusual and somewhat stressful time for many of you. Should you require any support or reassurance then please do not hesitate to get in touch with school; we are here to support you.
If mums, dads and carers are uncertain about how they access the work on Class Dojo or Google Classroom then please take a look at the useful links below or get in touch with school.
